Wrocław Airport to Undergo Major Renovation During 40-Day Closure

Wrocławskie lotnisko przechodzi modernizację. Co się zmieni podczas 40-dniowego zamknięcia?

Wrocław’s Nicolaus Copernicus Airport will take advantage of a planned 40-day shutdown, from October 26 to December 4, to carry out key modernization works. The airport will upgrade its runway, taxiways, and passenger terminal.

New Security Lane and Automatic Gates

A sixth security checkpoint line will be added to speed up passenger screening. Automatic gates will replace manual boarding pass checks, fully automating entry to the security area.

Redesigned Departure Zone and Baltona Stores

The post-security area will be renovated with new Baltona duty-free stores and more seating near departure gates. Additional space will be created by adapting the mezzanine level.

New Parking System, No Price Hikes

The airport will install a modern parking system while keeping current ticket-based access and prices unchanged.

Operational Area Upgrades

Runway and apron maintenance will improve safety and efficiency once flights resume in December.
