Lufthansa Group is changing its fare concept on European routes.

Lufthansa Group introduces a revised fare structure across Europe
From April 28, 2026 (defined as the ticket issuance date), the airlines of the Lufthansa Group, namely Austrian Airlines (OS), Brussels Airlines (SN), Lufthansa (LH), SWISS (LX), Air Dolomiti (EN), Discover Airlines (4Y), and Lufthansa City Airlines (VL), will introduce a revised fare structure across Europe. Travelers will have access to a new entry-level fare, Economy Basic, while existing fares will be partially updated.
The new fare structure will provide greater choice and allow travelers to select the option that best suits their individual needs – from low-cost solutions to maximum flexibility. Additional services can be purchased for each fare, ensuring that passengers only pay for the services they actually use.
