Lufthansa launches direct flights from Frankfurt to Kuala Lumpur
From October 25, 2026, travel between Europe and Southeast Asia will become significantly easier. Lufthansa is launching its first-ever nonstop route connecting Frankfurt Airport with Kuala Lumpur International Airport. This is also the Lufthansa Group’s first direct connection between Central Europe and Malaysia.
The new route provides fast and convenient access to one of Asia’s most dynamic markets. Kuala Lumpur is not only an important business hub but also a gateway to a region with strong ties to Europe. Germany remains the second-largest foreign investor in Malaysia and a key trading partner of the European Union, with more than 700 German companies operating in the country.

The service will operate on a convenient overnight schedule:
LH 704 (FRA → KUL)
departure from Frankfurt at 21:30
operating days: Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday.
LH 705 (KUL → FRA)
departure from Kuala Lumpur at 23:55
operating days: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday
arrival in Frankfurt at 06:00 the following day
