Lufthansa Allegris: New routes from Frankfurt in the summer 2026 season

Lufthansa continues to develop its modern onboard product, Allegris. The airline is systematically expanding the network of routes operated by Boeing 787-9 aircraft. In the summer 2026 flight schedule, passengers will gain access to additional destinations – both major business hubs and more exotic routes – departing from Frankfurt.

New destinations in the Allegris standard

From spring and summer 2026, Lufthansa will gradually launch additional long-haul connections featuring the Allegris cabin:

  • Delhi – from March 29, 2026
  • Nairobi – from July 1, 2026
  • Detroit – from August 1, 2026
  • Mumbai – from August 1, 2026
  • Dallas – from September 1, 2026
  • Atlanta – from October 1, 2026
  • Raleigh-Durham – from October 1, 2026

This marks another step in expanding the airline’s premium offering, focusing on greater comfort and a consistent travel experience on intercontinental routes.

What is Lufthansa Allegris?

Allegris is Lufthansa’s new cabin standard, covering all travel classes – from Economy to First Class. The concept includes, among others:

  • greater seat personalization,
  • modern interior design,
  • improved seat ergonomics,
  • more space and privacy,
  • a new inflight entertainment system.

The introduction of this product is one of the largest modernization projects in the airline’s history.

Boeing 787-9 as the backbone of the fleet

The new routes will be operated by Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners, which feature lower fuel consumption, a quieter cabin, and enhanced passenger comfort. This allows Lufthansa to increase operational efficiency while improving the overall travel experience.

More choice for passengers

The expansion of the Allegris network means passengers will have a wider selection of routes available in an upgraded standard – both for business and leisure travel. Strengthening connections to the United States and India is particularly significant, as these remain key markets for intercontinental traffic.

The new offering aligns with Lufthansa’s strategy to strengthen its position in the premium segment and enhance its competitiveness in the long-haul market.
