New Destination in LOT’s Network: Malaga Joins the National Carrier’s Route Map

With LOT to Malaga and Further into Andalusia

On 15 January 2026, LOT Polish Airlines officially launched regular flights from Warsaw to Malaga. The national carrier has expanded its offer to include one of the most recognizable tourist destinations in Southern Europe. The new connection links the Polish capital with the heart of Andalusia, providing passengers with convenient access to the Costa del Sol region.

Flight Schedule Tailored to Travelers’ Needs

During the initial period, flights on the WAW–AGP–WAW route will operate 3–4 times per week. From the end of February, the frequency will increase to six flights per week – daily except Tuesdays.

Flight LO439 will depart from Warsaw Chopin Airport at 10:20 a.m. (10:15 a.m. on Fridays), while the return flight LO440 from Malaga is scheduled for 3:35 p.m. In the summer season, slight adjustments are planned – departures from Warsaw will remain at 10:20 a.m., and from Malaga at 3:30 p.m. The journey will take approximately four hours.

This schedule allows for convenient planning of both short weekend getaways and longer holidays or business trips.

Attractions of Malaga and the Costa del Sol Region

Malaga is a city that harmoniously combines seaside relaxation with a rich historical heritage. In a single day, visitors can stroll along the beach, explore the Moorish Alcazaba fortress, visit the Picasso Museum, or see the remains of a Roman theatre. Malaga can be a destination in itself, but also a perfect starting point for exploring the whole of Andalusia.

The region known as the Costa del Sol is also a mecca for golf enthusiasts – not without reason it is often referred to as the Costa del Golf. Around 100 officially registered golf courses, picturesquely located between the mountains and the Mediterranean Sea, make this area one of the most important golf destinations in Europe.

The city is also a dynamically developing business and technology hub, attracting investors from across Europe. The launch of direct flights to Malaga significantly strengthens LOT’s presence in Southern Europe, giving passengers access to an attractive tourist and business market.
