LOT launches direct Gdańsk–Kraków flights starting May 2026
Polish carrier LOT has begun ticket sales for a new direct route between Gdańsk and Kraków. Flights will operate four times a week from May 29 to September 28, 2026, marking another step in the airline’s domestic network expansion.
New route in LOT’s summer schedule
LOT Polish Airlines adds a seasonal service between Gdańsk and Kraków to its summer timetable. Flights are scheduled on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays. Departures from Gdańsk are set for 12:45 p.m., with return flights from Kraków at 3:00 p.m. The flight will take approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes and will be operated by a Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft.
Tickets are already available through all LOT sales channels.
Faster travel between north and south Poland
The new connection shortens travel time between Pomerania and Lesser Poland, offering a convenient alternative to car and rail travel, especially during the busy summer months. According to LOT’s network planning director, Robert Ludera, the route will serve both business and leisure travelers.
Passengers from northern Poland will gain quick access to Kraków, while those from the south will find an easier way to reach the Tricity area and the Baltic coast.
Route returns to LOT’s domestic network
The Gdańsk–Kraków route returns to LOT’s offer after a few years’ absence. The airline says the decision is part of a wider effort to strengthen domestic connectivity beyond Warsaw Chopin Airport.
Tomasz Kloskowski, president of Gdańsk Airport, notes that the route is a significant addition to regional transport links. Meanwhile, Łukasz Strutyński, president of Kraków Airport, highlights that LOT’s move confirms confidence in Kraków’s growth potential. In the upcoming summer season, the airport will also see new routes to Madrid, Barcelona, and Rome.
