ANA introduces high-speed Wi-Fi on international routes

Free and high-speed Wi-Fi on board ANA
All Nippon Airways (ANA) is introducing free, high-speed in-flight internet for all passengers on international flights, regardless of travel class. This marks another step by the Japanese carrier – repeatedly awarded the prestigious 5-Star Airline status – toward enhancing comfort and convenience on long-haul journeys.
Internet like on the ground – including streaming
The new service, powered by advanced technology from Viasat, provides stable and fast internet connectivity from boarding through to landing. Importantly, the available bandwidth supports not only web browsing and remote work, but also video streaming – something that until recently was rare in aviation.
The advanced Viasat system delivers an in-flight experience comparable to using the internet on the ground, even on intercontinental routes.
Phased rollout across the international fleet
The service is being introduced gradually. In the first phase, free high-speed Wi-Fi will be available on selected Boeing 767-300ER aircraft (202-seat configuration). By the end of fiscal year 2025, ANA plans to complete modifications on three aircraft of this type, and in fiscal year 2026 to equip the entire fleet of six B767-300ERs.
After 2026, the Viasat system will also be installed on new long-haul aircraft, allowing ANA to progressively expand free internet access to additional routes and aircraft types.
ANA’s strategic goal is to equip more than 80% of its international fleet with free, high-speed Wi-Fi by the end of 2030. This represents one of the most ambitious in-flight connectivity initiatives in global aviation. As airline management emphasizes, passengers increasingly expect constant internet access during flights – both for work and entertainment. The new service is designed to meet these expectations and further strengthen ANA’s competitiveness in the long-haul market.
A new standard of travel with ANA
The introduction of free, high-speed Wi-Fi in all classes is a clear signal that All Nippon Airways is prioritizing modern technology and the passenger experience as key elements of its offering. For travelers, this means greater freedom, productivity, and entertainment – even at cruising altitude.
