Lufthansa unveils an exclusive check-in area at Frankfurt Airport

Lufthansa opens a new exclusive check-in area at Frankfurt Airport

Lufthansa continues to consistently raise the standard of service for its premium passengers. On 4 December 2025, the German carrier opened a new exclusive check-in area at Frankfurt Airport (Terminal 1, Hall A), designed to offer maximum comfort, time savings, and flexibility before departure.

The new space combines modern design with practical amenities tailored to passengers’ real needs. Among the highlights are spacious changing rooms, allowing for a quick outfit change or convenient repacking of luggage – a feature that has been one of the most frequently expressed requests from Lufthansa customers.

Comfort, work, and privacy before departure

Stylish high tables equipped with power outlets, along with comfortable seating, create a calm atmosphere suitable both for relaxation and short business meetings prior to travel. The entire area has been designed to ensure a smooth check-in process without compromising comfort or privacy.

An additional convenience is the separate entrance directly from parking lot P31, significantly reducing walking distances to the check-in area. Lufthansa staff are available on site at service counters and baggage machines, ready to assist with individual requests and ensure a smooth baggage drop-off process.

For the most discerning passengers

The new premium check-in area is available to:

  • First Class passengers,
  • HON Circle members,
  • Senator status holders,
  • Star Alliance Gold customers.

This is another element of Lufthansa’s strategy aimed at delivering personalized, high-quality service at every stage of the journey.

Return of the Business Lounge at Gate A13. At the same time, Lufthansa has reopened the Business Lounge at Gate A13. Following a brief renovation period, the lounge once again welcomes status customers and Business Class travelers, offering a variety of areas for relaxation, work, and flight preparation. The new check-in area and the refreshed lounge underscore Lufthansa’s commitment to creating a seamless premium experience at Frankfurt Airport – one of Europe’s most important aviation hubs.
