Wizz Air launches three new summer routes, including a return to Rimini after seven years

Hungarian low-cost airline Wizz Air has announced three new seasonal routes for summer 2026. From Warsaw–Modlin Airport, passengers will be able to fly to Varna in Bulgaria and Rimini in Italy, while Kraków gains a direct connection to the Greek island of Rhodes. One of the routes is making a comeback after a seven-year break.

New flights from Modlin: Bulgaria and Italy

Flights from Modlin to Varna will start on May 21 and operate three times a week – on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. The route will be seasonal, with the last flights scheduled for late October.
Modlin will become the third Polish airport with direct flights to Varna – after Wrocław and Katowice.

Wizz Air is also bringing back its Rimini route, which was suspended seven years ago. Flights to the Italian coast will operate four times a week – on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

New Kraków–Rhodes connection

Starting in June, Kraków passengers will be able to fly directly to Rhodes in Greece. The route will run three times a week.

According to Salvatore Gabriele Imperiale, Wizz Air’s Corporate Communications Manager, the airline continues to invest in Poland by offering affordable direct flights to popular summer destinations.

More options for Polish travelers

The new routes give travelers from central and southern Poland more choice for summer holidays. Rimini, Varna, and Rhodes remain among the most popular seaside destinations for families and budget travelers alike.

Wizz Air continues to expand its Polish network, recently adding new routes from Katowice and Wrocław as well.
