Lufthansa: B787-9 Dreamliner with the Allegris configuration available from Frankfurt

Lufthansa Allegris on new routes

Lufthansa is entering the next phase in the development of its long-haul offering. Following the highly successful debut of the new Lufthansa Allegris cabin concept, which took place in May 2024 on the route to Vancouver, the airline is now introducing it at its main hub in Frankfurt. On board the modern Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners, passengers can expect an entirely new standard of travel.

Allegris – positively rated by travelers

Since the first flight to Vancouver, more than half a million passengers have already experienced Lufthansa Allegris. Feedback has been unanimous – the new product has been met with great enthusiasm, particularly thanks to increased privacy, flexible seat selection, and a noticeably higher level of comfort across all travel classes.

Frankfurt at the heart of the new route network

Lufthansa Allegris is now coming to Frankfurt. On board Boeing 787-9 aircraft, passengers can already book Business Class Suites, Premium Economy, and Economy Class seats on flights to Toronto (from mid-October).

With the new winter flight schedule 2025/2026, the offer will be expanded to include additional long-haul destinations from Frankfurt:

Austin – from 2 December 2025, Bogotá, Hyderabad, Rio de Janeiro

Comfort on board the Dreamliner

The Boeing 787-9 in Lufthansa configuration offers three travel classes:

  • 231 seats in Economy Class,
  • 28 seats in Premium Economy,
  • 28 seats in Business Class, including four exclusive Business Class Suites.

Business Class Suites, as well as seats in Premium Economy and Economy Class, are already available for booking. The remaining Business Class seats are currently undergoing certification and are expected to be approved for service by the end of 2025.

An extra benefit for Business Class passengers

Until the certification process is completed, Lufthansa is offering a special bonus: Business Class Suites can be reserved free of charge, with no advance seat reservation (ASR) fee.

Please note that on some flights, Boeing 787-9 aircraft that are not yet equipped with Lufthansa Allegris cabins may also be used.

The new Dreamliners and the Allegris product clearly demonstrate that Lufthansa is consistently investing in passenger comfort and strengthening Frankfurt’s position as one of the most important long-haul hubs in Europe.
