The World’s Most Punctual Airlines: Aeromexico Leads Again

Punctuality remains the most valued quality for air travelers. A new report by aviation analytics firm Cirium reveals which airlines most reliably stick to their schedules.
According to data from 2025, Aeromexico ranked first worldwide, with 90.02% of its flights arriving on time — a 3.3-point improvement from the previous year.
Mexico’s national carrier maintained its top spot for the second consecutive year. Saudia Airlines followed with 86.53%, and Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) came in third with 86.09%.
Rounding out the global top 10 were: Azul, Qatar Airways, Iberia, LATAM, Avianca, Turkish Airlines, and Delta Air Lines.
Delta Air Lines was the only U.S. carrier in the global top 10, achieving an 80.9% on-time rate despite major operational challenges in 2025, including air traffic control failures and a temporary government shutdown. The Atlanta-based airline also operated 1.8 million flights during the year.
In North America, Delta led the regional list, followed by Alaska Airlines and Spirit Airlines, both improving their punctuality compared to 2024.
For European travelers, particularly those flying from Poland, high rankings for Iberia and Turkish Airlines are good news — these carriers are key partners for connecting flights from Warsaw and other major Polish airports.
