LOT Launches Year-Round Flights from Warsaw to Bangkok

Polish national carrier LOT has announced a new long-haul route connecting Warsaw with Bangkok, the capital of Thailand. Tickets are already on sale, and the inaugural flight is scheduled for 26 October 2026. The connection will operate year-round, with five flights per week, responding to growing demand for travel to Asia.

The new service will depart from Warsaw five times weekly—on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays—at 2:25 p.m. The flight time to Bangkok will be approximately 10 hours and 20 minutes during the winter season. Return flights will also operate five times a week, departing Bangkok at 8:45 a.m., with a flight time of around 11 hours and 55 minutes.

The Warsaw–Bangkok route is the latest addition to LOT’s expanding long-haul network, following the recently announced launch of flights to San Francisco. According to the airline, long-distance routes are a key pillar of its development strategy.

LOT points out that Thailand has long been one of the most popular destinations among Polish travellers, combining strong tourism appeal with increasing business significance. Bangkok, as a major regional hub in Southeast Asia, is seen as a gateway to the wider region. The airline says the new direct connection will offer passengers a convenient, comfortable and competitive travel option, better suited to real market needs.

Bangkok itself is presented as a city of contrasts, blending vibrant modern life with deep historical and spiritual traditions. Among the most notable attractions are Wat Saket, also known as the Golden Mount, offering panoramic views of the city; Wat Pho, home to the famous 46-metre-long Reclining Buddha and one of the oldest Thai massage schools; and the Grand Palace complex with Wat Phra Kaew, the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, regarded as the most sacred site in Thailand. Visitors looking for a more energetic atmosphere often head to Khao San Road, known for its street food, nightlife and lively evening scene.

LOT also highlights its family-friendly onboard offer. Infants up to the age of two receive a special travel kit including a soft bib, comfortable socks and a pacifier clip, all packed in a reusable bag. Children aged between two and twelve are offered a themed aviation bag containing crayons, colouring books and the airline’s mascot, designed to make long-haul travel more enjoyable for younger passengers.
