Frankfurt replaces Munich – more convenience and greater options

As the Lufthansa Group’s largest hub, Frankfurt offers access to nearly 300 destinations worldwide. Passengers from Podkarpacie will be able to travel conveniently to North America, Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and across Europe, reducing travel time and enhancing transfer comfort.
Benefits for the Podkarpacie region
The direct connection to Frankfurt significantly improves the transportation accessibility of the Podkarpacie region. This change will:
- Facilitate business travel and increase the region’s attractiveness for investors,
- Improve access to key intercontinental destinations,
- Allow residents to plan both short city breaks and longer vacation trips more conveniently.
The new route emphasizes Rzeszów’s strategic importance in the Lufthansa Group network and reflects the growing demand for global connections from southeastern Poland.
Greater flexibility and global reach
With direct flights to Frankfurt, travelers from Rzeszów gain access to one of the most comprehensive flight networks in the world. The airport offers:
- An extensive network of European routes,
- Numerous long-haul flights,
- Fast transfers within a single terminal for most Lufthansa Group flights.
Switching from Munich to Frankfurt increases travel flexibility and simplifies access to global markets for both residents and businesses in Podkarpacie.
