SWISS launches a new connection between Poznań and Zurich

Residents of the Greater Poland region will gain a long-awaited new connection to one of Europe’s key transfer hubs. SWISS has announced that starting March 29, 2026, it will operate direct flights from Zurich to Poznań. Flights will run three times a week, providing passengers with fast access to the airline’s global network.

Direct flight to SWISS’s global hub

The new route from Poznań to Zurich will open up a wide range of travel opportunities across Europe and beyond. Zurich Airport is one of Europe’s most important hubs, offering an extensive network of connections to North and South America, Africa, Asia, as well as numerous European destinations.

This means passengers from Poznań will have direct access to the global networks of SWISS and the Lufthansa Group, enabling convenient connections on intercontinental flights and a greater choice of vacation and business destinations.

A rich network of European SWISS destinations

The new connection is part of SWISS’s broader expansion of its route network. The airline is developing both its summer and winter schedules, adding more attractive destinations from Zurich and Geneva. Recent additions include:

Rijeka – authentic Croatian atmosphere

The city combines a Mediterranean climate with rich culture. The lively Korzo, the picturesque Trsat Castle, and nearby beaches make Rijeka an ideal holiday destination.

Dubrovnik – Europe’s gem of cinema and history

Known for productions such as *Star Wars*, *Game of Thrones*, and *Succession*, Dubrovnik impresses with its medieval UNESCO-listed Old Town, charming cafés, and Mediterranean atmosphere. SWISS will operate flights there up to five times a week starting April 17, 2025.

Montpellier – the energy of southern France

The vibrant university city offers art, culture, cuisine, and beaches just minutes away. The route will be available twice a week from June 27, 2025.

Heringsdorf – Baltic charm within reach

Heringsdorf on Germany’s Usedom Island captivates with wide beaches, a historic pier, and a relaxing atmosphere. SWISS will operate flights there once a week from June 28, 2025.

Niš – Serbia’s hidden gem

One of Europe’s oldest cities, the hometown of Constantine the Great, combines rich history with authentic local character. Ideal for travelers seeking off-the-beaten-path destinations. The route will launch June 30, 2025, with flights twice a week.

A new opportunity for Poznań and the region

The launch of the Zurich route is an important step for Poznań Airport, which has long sought the return of one of Europe’s largest network carriers. This will give local residents convenient and fast connections to destinations around the world, while strengthening Poznań’s position on Europe’s aviation map.

The new connection not only makes travel easier but also creates opportunities for regional economic growth, increasing the attractiveness of Greater Poland for both business and tourism.
