Qatar Airways and as many as 35 destinations to visit in Australia

Qatar Airways strengthens its offer in the Australian market. 70 weekly flights from Doha.
Australia remains one of the most promising long-haul destinations, both for tourism and business travel. The region attracts visitors with its unique nature, diverse landscapes and growing economic potential. Qatar Airways continues to expand its global route network while maintaining a high standard of service.
Increased flight frequency
As a result of cooperation with Virgin Australia, the number of flights between Doha and the largest Australian cities will increase significantly starting June 2025. The new schedule includes:
- 14 weekly flights to Sydney – from 13 June 2025,
- 14 weekly flights to Brisbane – from 20 June 2025,
- 14 weekly flights to Perth – from 27 June 2025.
Additionally, from 2 December 2025 Qatar Airways will also increase the frequency of flights to Melbourne, which will then be served by three daily connections. This means that travellers will have access to as many as 70 direct flights per week from Doha to Australia.
Thanks to the partnership with Virgin Australia, the offer will include more than 100 joint destinations and easy access to 35 locations within Australia. This translates into greater sales flexibility, more route-matching options and more convenient connections.

Qatar Airways is known for having one of the best premium products in the aviation industry. The airline’s Business Class has repeatedly received Skytrax awards, making it an especially attractive option for corporate clients, business travellers and premium passengers who expect not only comfort but also ideal conditions for work or rest during a long-haul flight.
On routes to Australia, the airline offers, among other things:
- spacious seats that convert fully into a lie-flat bed,
- private suites providing silence and comfort,
- gourmet meals inspired by international cuisine,
- access to exclusive lounges and priority services.
Doha – a key transit hub
Doha’s Hamad International Airport, recognized as the world’s best airport in 2024, is an important part of the travel experience. From a tourism industry perspective, its high standards, well-organized infrastructure and extensive range of services significantly enhance the overall product value.
From 12 June 2025, members of the Privilege Club traveling to or from Australia will receive an additional benefit in the form of a USD 20 voucher for food and beverages, redeemable at more than 50 restaurants and cafés at the airport. This convenience may serve as a valuable selling point in corporate travel management.
Greater availability and flexibility in travel planning
Qatar Airways and Virgin Australia will offer flexible and competitive fares as well as the possibility of a comfortable and well-planned journey. As a result, in the 2025/2026 season Australia will become even more accessible—both for business and leisure travellers.
