WARSAW CENTRAL STATION CLOSED FOR TRAINS, NOVEMBER 8–16



From Saturday, November 8 at noon until Sunday, November 16 at 4 a.m., train traffic through Warsaw Central Station will be suspended. The reason is modernization works — construction of new switches and replacement of the traffic control system. The investment aims to increase the station’s capacity.

Alternative routes

During the closure, trains will be redirected to other Warsaw stations:

  • Warszawa Gdańska: Intercity trains from Białystok, Lublin, Poznań, Bydgoszcz, Gdynia, and Olsztyn (platform 3 reopened).

  • Warszawa Główna: Regional trains by Polregio, ŁKA, and SKM (S3 line) to/from Chopin Airport, Żyrardów, and Skierniewice.

  • Warszawa Wschodnia: Trains from Terespol, Gdynia, Modlin, Legionowo, Siedlce, and Łuków.

Passenger information

Schedules are available on portalpasażera.pl. Tickets to Warsaw Central for November 8–16 are not available; booking systems redirect travelers to other stations.

Additional note

Access to platform 9 at Warsaw West Station is limited; a temporary footbridge with elevators is in use.
