September Brought Better Results for Polish Hotels Than a Year Ago

Polish hotels recorded a clear improvement this September compared to the previous year. According to data from the Polish Chamber of Hotel Industry (IGHP), both business and leisure properties saw higher occupancy rates, with more than half improving performance compared to September 2024.

More Guests and Higher Occupancy

Over 84 percent of hotels achieved occupancy above 50 percent, and nearly half exceeded 70 percent. Only 5 percent sold less than 30 percent of rooms. Among business hotels, 81 percent sold more than half their rooms, and among leisure hotels – 84 percent.

Compared to last year, 55 percent of hotels reported better results, with one in four improving by more than five percentage points. Increases were reported by 56 percent of business and 53 percent of leisure hotels, while declines – mostly minor – affected 42 and 33 percent, respectively.

Room Prices Up, But October Looks Weaker

Although prices continue to rise, expectations for October are more cautious. Compared to September 2024, 59 percent of hotels raised prices, almost half by up to 10 percent. The remaining 41 percent kept or lowered their rates. IGHP notes that the pace of growth remains stable, similar to the previous month.

However, reservation data suggest October may bring weaker demand. Half of hotels expect occupancy above 50 percent, while 17 percent anticipate below 30 percent. The same trends apply to both business and leisure properties.
