Direct train line to Modlin Airport to open in 2029

The Mazovian Voivode has approved the construction of a new 5.5-km railway line connecting Modlin station with Warsaw–Modlin Airport. Work will start in 2027, and the first passengers are expected to arrive directly at the terminal two years later.
The project, led by Polish State Railways (PKP PLK), includes a new terminal station, track expansion at Modlin, and three road overpasses. The total cost is estimated at 256 million PLN, with EU funding planned under the European Funds for Mazovia 2021–2027 program.
Officials say the investment will boost regional development and integrate air and rail transport, improving travel between Modlin and Warsaw Chopin Airport.
