Kraków to lift liquid limits in hand luggage. Change coming within days

Kraków Airport is about to lift the limit on liquids in hand luggage. Airport CEO Łukasz Strutyński announced that the change could take effect within days. “All devices are ready,” he told Radio Kraków.

The new rules are possible thanks to advanced 3D scanners that allow more precise screening of cabin bags. Passengers will soon be able to carry bottles of up to two liters and will no longer need to remove electronics or cosmetics during security checks.

Poznań Airport is also preparing to introduce the change, with the rollout expected in mid-September. Kraków, however, may take the lead and become the first airport in Poland to apply the new system.

The update is expected to shorten queues and make air travel more comfortable.
