The foundation of the Flying Blue loyalty program is Miles – the program’s currency that members collect and spend. Experience Points (XP) – experience points – determine your status in the program and the level of benefits you receive. With each additional XP point, you have the chance to reach a higher level, with greater rewards and more privileges.

Membership Levels
Depending on the number of Miles collected, Flying Blue members can have different membership statuses.
Explorer Level guarantees the basic level of membership. This is the status you receive right after registration. To reach a higher level, you must regularly book flights and collect XP points. Each completed flight brings you closer to many benefits and bonuses. At the Explorer level, you earn 4 Miles for every EUR spent. Travelers with the basic card also receive a 10% discount on their first paid checked bag.
Silver Level in the Flying Blue loyalty program offers additional benefits starting at 100 XP. Travelers earn 6 Miles for every EUR spent. At the airport, Silver Level provides priority check-in, baggage drop-off, and boarding. Travelers can also choose standard seats for free 24 hours before departure. Another benefit is one free additional checked bag when flying with Air France & KLM or partner airlines.
Members with a Gold card (180 XP) enjoy even more benefits and privileges, such as SkyPriority – priority check-in at the airport. With Gold status, you can select standard seats for free 72 hours before departure and gain access to airport lounges with one guest (traveling on the same flight operated by KLM, Air France, Air Mauritius, China Southern Airways, GOL, Qantas, Virgin Atlantic, or other SkyTeam partner airlines). Travelers are also entitled to one free additional checked bag on flights with Air France & KLM or partner airlines.
Platinum Level in Flying Blue guarantees SkyPriority service, including priority check-in, baggage drop-off, and boarding. With the Platinum card, you can enjoy free preferred seat selection and take an additional checked bag when flying with Air France and KLM, as well as partner airlines. Travelers with this high membership status can invite one guest to the airport lounge (traveling on the same flight operated by KLM, Air France, Air Mauritius, China Southern Airways, GOL, Qantas, Virgin Atlantic, or other SkyTeam partners). Platinum members also have access to 24/7 customer support.
Ultimate Level (900 XP) is the highest possible status in the program. Ultimate provides SkyPriority service for the cardholder and up to 8 guests – including fast check-in, boarding, and baggage handling. The same rules apply for free access to Air France and KLM lounges, where Ultimate members can invite up to 8 guests. Travelers can also change to an earlier or later flight on the same day free of charge (up to 60 minutes before departure), subject to seat availability. Unlimited free Wi-Fi is available on Air France and KLM flights. Each year, Ultimate members also receive four vouchers for cabin class upgrades. A personal travel assistant is available 24/7.
