Qatar Airways to Increase Flight Frequencies in Winter 2025/2026
Travel enthusiasts can now plan their winter season with more choice and convenience thanks to Qatar Airways – the airline voted the World’s Best by Skytrax in 2025 for a record ninth time.
Qatar Airways has announced a significant increase in flight frequencies to over 15 global destinations, responding to the growing demand for travel from various parts of the world. A key element of the airline’s global network remains its state-of-the-art hub – Hamad International Airport in Doha – recognized as the best airport in the Middle East.
More Flights to London Aboard Qatar Airways
One of the key highlights is the record number of up to 10 daily flights to London Heathrow, marking Qatar Airways’ highest-ever frequency on this route. These are further supported by two daily flights operated by British Airways, enhancing travel options to the UK capital.
“Qatar Airways continues to see growing demand for our five-star services to key global destinations such as London, Dublin, Cape Town, and São Paulo,” said Thierry Antinori, Chief Commercial Officer at Qatar Airways. “This winter season, in cooperation with Virgin Australia, we’re launching new flights from Melbourne to Doha, increasing the route’s capacity to three daily flights. We are also resuming flights to Canberra, strengthening our presence in the Australian market.”

Modern Fleet and Onboard Connectivity
Qatar Airways operates a young and diverse fleet, including 54 Boeing 777 aircraft equipped with ultra-fast Starlink Wi-Fi, offered free to all passengers. The airline is the first in the world to equip over 50 wide-body aircraft with this service, and the only carrier in the MENA region to do so.
Passengers in both Economy and Premium cabins can enjoy high-speed internet (up to 500 Mbps) from gate to gate. The Starlink technology is also currently being rolled out across the Airbus A350 fleet, with full implementation expected within the next year.
