Wizz Air Confirms Its Presence in Modlin – First Routes Announced
Wizz Air is officially launching operations at Warsaw-Modlin Airport. Starting December 16, passengers will be able to fly directly to Palermo, with flights scheduled three times a week – on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. The route will be operated by the modern Airbus A321neo.
Modlin will become the Hungarian carrier’s sixth operational base in Poland. This marks a significant step for both the airport and the airline, which is planning further expansion in the region.
Plans also include the launch of a connection to Barcelona. These developments are part of a broader growth strategy – Wizz Air intends to base two aircraft in Modlin, which will directly result in a larger number of available routes. The announced destinations are likely just the beginning, with a full network of flights expected to be revealed soon.
