Air Arabia Launches Flights from Modlin
Starting December 20, 2025, Warsaw-Modlin Airport will welcome a new connection to Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates. The daily flights will be operated by Air Arabia, a low-cost carrier that will continue to serve routes from Warsaw Chopin Airport as well.
The arrival of this new airline marks the end of Ryanair’s long-standing monopoly at Modlin. It’s a significant shift for the region—one that benefits both travelers and airport management, which has long been seeking to diversify its airline portfolio. Previous attempts, such as the short-lived service by Air Moldova, failed due to external financial difficulties on the part of the Moldovan carrier.
Air Arabia will operate the route using Airbus A320 aircraft, offering 174 seats on board. Flights from Sharjah (SHJ) to Modlin (WMI) are scheduled in the late afternoon and evening, with return flights from Poland departing late at night. As of now, round-trip tickets in the lowest fare category start at approximately €500.
This new connection introduces a non-EU carrier to Modlin, potentially strengthening the airport’s growth and competitiveness. Air Arabia has published the following flight schedule (local times):
-
G9 592 SHJ–WMI: 17:05–20:45 (Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, Sundays)
-
G9 593 WMI–SHJ: 21:35–06:35+1 (Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, Sundays)
Air Arabia will also continue operating its existing flights from Warsaw Chopin Airport:
-
G9 607 SHJ–WAW: 07:15–10:55 (Mondays, Wednesdays, Saturdays)
-
G9 608 WAW–SHJ: 11:45–20:45 (Mondays, Wednesdays, Saturdays)
A new route, new opportunities. Air Arabia’s entry into Modlin not only breaks a monopoly—it opens the door to new possibilities beyond Europe.
