LOT as the Official Carrier of the Polish EU Council Presidency

Polish Airlines LOT has been selected as the official carrier of the Polish Presidency of the Council of the European Union. Poland assumed the presidency on January 1, 2025, and will hold it until the end of June. This prestigious recognition highlights the national carrier’s role in international connectivity and the promotion of Poland on the global stage.

As part of this role, LOT will be responsible for transporting diplomatic delegations and supporting events related to the presidency. The airline will also actively engage in promoting Polish culture and innovation across Europe. The presidency’s guiding motto, "Security, Europe," reflects Poland’s key priorities during this period.

The official inauguration of the presidency took place on January 3 at the Grand Theatre – National Opera in Warsaw. The event was attended by top representatives of EU institutions, including Prime Minister Donald Tusk and European Council President Antonio Costa.
