Strike at German airports on March 10, 2025
Strike at German Airports
Once again, the ver.di trade union has called on public service employees and ground handling staff to go on strike at airports in Germany. The protest action is scheduled for Monday, March 10, 2025, from 00:00 to 23:59. The strike will affect major airports in German cities, including Berlin-Brandenburg, Bremen, Cologne/Bonn, Dortmund, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Hanover, Leipzig/Halle, Munich, and Stuttgart.
Disruptions and Canceled Flights
Due to the strike, numerous flight cancellations are expected for all airlines operating routes to and from Germany. Travelers whose flights are canceled or changed should receive appropriate notifications from the airline (if they have provided their contact details in the booking). Rebooking changes will be handled in accordance with the airlines' policy on flight irregularities.
Best Practices for Travelers
We recommend checking the status of your flight before traveling and keeping track of the latest updates from airlines and airports. It is also advisable to consider alternative travel options if your flight is at risk of cancellation.
