LOT launches direct flights to Lisbon
Poland’s national carrier, LOT, has introduced a long-anticipated direct connection between Warsaw and Lisbon, a move set to benefit both leisure and business travelers. But beyond convenience, this new route signals the airline’s broader ambitions.
A Year-Round Gateway to Portugal
LOT’s inaugural Warsaw–Lisbon flight took off on February 3, 2025. Initially operating five times a week, the service will become a daily connection starting February 24. The airline has deployed its modern Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft for the route, offering 186 seats and a flight time of approximately 4.5 hours.
A Strategic Step in LOT’s Expansion
The launch of direct flights to Lisbon marks another milestone in LOT’s growing presence on the Iberian Peninsula. With existing connections to Madrid and Barcelona, the Polish carrier is strengthening its foothold in Southern Europe. But Lisbon isn’t just an endpoint—it’s a strategic gateway. The route opens up seamless travel options to the Azores, Madeira, and even long-haul destinations in South America, reinforcing LOT’s position in the global aviation network.
