Wizz Air Announces Four New Routes from Poland: Milan and Madeira
Wizz Air has announced the launch of four new routes from Poland. The airline will introduce connections from Warsaw, Rzeszów, and Gdańsk to Milan Malpensa Airport, as well as from Gdańsk to Funchal in Madeira.
The new flights to Milan will commence this autumn. Starting from September 9th, there will be four flights a week from Warsaw, followed by two weekly flights from Rzeszów from September 10th, and four weekly flights from Gdańsk starting October 1st. Milan Malpensa is one of the largest airports in Europe, having served over 26 million passengers last year.
However, the most exciting news is the route to Funchal, set to launch on October 27th, with flights twice a week. Gdańsk will become the third Polish airport, after Warsaw and Katowice, from which Wizz Air will offer connections to Madeira. The decision to introduce new routes had been long-awaited due to technical issues with engines, but now the airline is making up for lost time with a significant expansion.
