LOT Launches Flights to Porto

LOT Polish Airlines launches direct flights to Porto

On May 25, 2026, LOT Polish Airlines officially inaugurated its new Warsaw–Porto route. With this launch, Poland’s national carrier expanded its network with a second destination in Portugal, alongside the highly popular Lisbon.

Flight schedule

The new Porto flights will operate year-round. In the summer season, passengers will be able to choose from five flights per week – on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays. In the winter season, the route will be available four times a week.

LOT Polish Airlines aircraft will depart from Warsaw Chopin Airport at 10:20 a.m., while return flights from Porto are scheduled for 2:25 p.m. The flight to Portugal will take approximately 4 hours and 5 minutes, and the return journey to Warsaw around 3 hours and 45 minutes.

Porto – for leisure and business travel

Portugal has remained one of Europe’s most popular tourist destinations for many years. Porto, located in the northern part of the country on the Atlantic Ocean, fits perfectly with the growing interest in city breaks and relaxing stays in atmospheric European cities.

As Robert Ludera, Management Board Member for Commercial Affairs at LOT Polish Airlines, emphasized, interest in Portuguese destinations continues to grow. In 2025, the load factor on flights to Lisbon exceeded 86%, confirming the strong popularity of this market among passengers.

The new route is intended not only to expand tourism opportunities, but also to support the development of economic and business relations between Poland and Portugal.

What is worth seeing in Porto?

Porto captivates visitors with its unique atmosphere, combining historic character with a modern way of life. For centuries, the heart of the city has been Ribeira – a picturesque district listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Colorful townhouses, atmospheric restaurants, and riverside promenades create a remarkable setting, especially after dark, when the city lights reflect in the waters of the Douro River.

At the same time, Porto still preserves its authenticity. Step away from the main tourist routes to discover narrow streets, local cafés, and the everyday life of residents who have preserved the history of this place for generations.

Porto is also an excellent destination for travelers who enjoy relaxation and water sports. The area around the city features wide, sandy beaches along the Atlantic Ocean. Matosinhos Beach is especially popular and is an ideal spot for surfing, kitesurfing, windsurfing, and stand-up paddleboarding.
