LOT and SAS expand their cooperation with 23 new routes

LOT i SAS rozszerzają współpracę o 23 nowe trasy

Polish Airlines LOT has announced an expansion of its code-share agreement with Scandinavian Airlines (SAS), adding 23 new routes primarily covering destinations in Scandinavia and the United Kingdom.

This expansion will facilitate easier access for passengers traveling from Warsaw to remote locations such as the Faroe Islands, Tromsø in Norway, and the Swedish island of Gotland. This development is a part of LOT's new five-year strategy for 2024-2028 and further strengthens the cooperation between LOT and SAS, both members of the Star Alliance. The enhanced code-share partnership, previously limited to select routes, now encompasses a total of 23 new destinations. The agreement previously included SAS flights from Warsaw to Copenhagen and SAS's domestic connections from Oslo to Alesund, Trondheim, and Tromsø.

The latest cooperation expansion opens new travel possibilities for passengers with a single transfer in Copenhagen, Oslo, or Stockholm, covering 24 new destinations. At Copenhagen's Kastrup Airport, travelers now have access to transfer flights to locations such as Birmingham, Dublin, Edinburgh, Manchester, and Vagar (Faroe Islands).

Passengers transiting through Oslo-Gardermoen Airport can now connect to SAS flights to destinations including Alta, Bardufoss, Bodø, Dublin, Evenes (Harstad/Narvik), Haugesund, Kristiansund, Manchester, and Molde.
