PHH Group publishes first VSME report
PHH Group has published its first sustainability report under the voluntary VSME standard for 2025. The document covers the group’s portfolio and includes Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions data. GK PHH Sp. z o.o. reported a 2025 carbon footprint of 41,894.90 tCO₂e.
VSME without a CSRD duty
PHH said the capital group is not currently subject to reporting duties under the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive. The report was prepared voluntarily, using the basic VSME module and a unit-level approach.
According to Patrycja Adamska, director of the ESG Office at PHH Group, the report is intended to show how the company manages its environmental, social and organizational impact. It is also meant to support data-based decisions and further development of measurement tools.
Scope 2 made up 58 percent
The report includes full calculations for Scope 1 and Scope 2 carbon emissions. Indirect Scope 2 emissions made up 58 percent of the total.
Purchased electricity accounted for more than 37 percent of the overall carbon footprint. This is one of the main figures for buyers assessing the environmental profile of hotel suppliers.
Women account for 71 percent
The social section covers employment data. Women account for 71 percent of PHH Group employees.
The same share, 71 percent, worked under indefinite-term employment contracts in 2025. That was almost 5 percentage points higher than a year earlier.
PHH also reported staff development figures. In 2025, the group carried out 358 training initiatives with 1,397 participants. It also launched postgraduate studies for employees in cooperation with Kozminski University.
Eleven properties with Green Key
In 2025, eight more PHH sp. z o.o. properties received Green Key certification. By year-end, 11 of the company’s 12 properties held the certificate.
The certification process is to be extended to further properties in the group. The report also records 194 local social and environmental initiatives.
PHH said it began cooperation in 2025 with national parks and the State Forests across the organization. The work covers nature protection and environmental education.
Data for corporate hotel sourcing
For corporate hotel buyers, the report can support supplier assessment. The most concrete figures cover Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions, certified properties, workforce structure and training activity.
In managed travel programs, such data may feed into hotel RFPs and ESG questionnaires. The report does not replace a property-level review, contract assessment or the data required by each company.
The sustainability report is part of PHH’s management board report. It describes the group’s ESG results and identifies areas for further work.
