Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) is introducing its very first signature cocktail, available exclusively onboard. Starting in July, First and Business Class passengers on long-haul routes will be able to enjoy the exceptional “SWISS Alpine Essence” – an elegant fusion of Swiss craftsmanship, refined taste, and modern mixology.

A Unique Collaboration with Sarah Madritsch

The new cocktail is the result of a collaboration between SWISS and renowned Swiss bartender and gastro entrepreneur Sarah Madritsch, who has been awarded “Barkeeper of the Year” and for years managed the prestigious IGNIV by Andreas Caminada bar in Zurich. Her experience and passion for creating unique flavor compositions have led to a drink that seamlessly blends tradition with innovation.

SWISS Alpine Essence – The Taste of the Alps at 10,000 Meters

“SWISS Alpine Essence” combines dry white vermouth and elderflower syrup with notes of peppermint liqueur, white crème de cacao, and citrus-herbal undertones. The result is a light, floral variation of the classic White Negroni – ideal both as an aperitif or a sophisticated accompaniment to a meal.

For the Discerning Traveler

The cocktail will be available in First and Business Class on all SWISS long-haul flights starting in July. First Class passengers will also have the option to enjoy “SWISS Alpine Essence” as a pre-departure welcome drink.

Moreover, the airline plans to expand availability of the cocktail as part of its “SWISS Saveurs” inflight offering on short- and medium-haul flights later this year, allowing Economy Class passengers to enjoy this exclusive creation as well.
