Ryanair Launches First Route from Poland to Romania – New Kraków to Bucharest Connection

Ryanair has announced a new route from Kraków to Bucharest, launching on November 1. This will be the airline’s first direct connection between Poland and Romania, and it also marks Ryanair’s debut at Bucharest’s Băneasa Airport – a smaller airport located closer to the city center than the main Otopeni Airport, which Ryanair currently serves. Flights will operate twice a week: on Mondays at 13:05 and on Saturdays at 13:00. Notably, Ryanair will compete on this route with Wizz Air, which has been flying from Kraków to Bucharest since last autumn. Wizz initially served Otopeni, but from January it also added flights to Băneasa. For the upcoming winter season, Wizz Air plans up to five weekly flights on this route. This head-to-head competition between two low-cost carriers is likely to benefit travelers. With both airlines active on the same route, passengers can expect more options, competitive pricing, and improved access to Romania’s capital.
