Announcement Regarding the Situation at Warsaw Chopin Airport
Due to an unattended piece of luggage, selected areas of the terminal—specifically zones A and B on the departures level, the mezzanine, and adjacent corridors—have been evacuated. In addition, access roads leading to the airport have been temporarily closed.
Emergency services, including airport security and the police, are actively working on-site. Their operations are focused on ensuring passenger safety and restoring normal airport functions as quickly as possible.
We strongly advise against driving to the airport at this time, as significant traffic congestion has formed. Passengers are encouraged to use rail transport—Warsaw Commuter Railway (SKM) and Mazovian Railways (Koleje Mazowieckie). Although the direct passage from the train station to the terminal is currently blocked, it is possible to reach the terminal by walking around the building from the outside.
We urge all travelers to strictly follow the instructions given by the security services on-site. Please do not leave your luggage unattended—each such incident may lead to serious operational disruptions.
