4 Skytrax awards for Air France

Air France excels in 4 categories

Air France Airlines clinched four Skytrax World Airline Awards in 2023 during this year's Paris Air Show event at Le Bourget in France. For the third consecutive year, the French carrier has been recognized as the best airline in Western Europe. Furthermore, La Première, Air France's First Class available on intercontinental flights, has been once again acknowledged. The airline received awards in three categories - Best First Class Lounge, Best onboard menu in First Class, and Best restaurant service in the La Première lounge at the airport. In the overall Skytrax ranking - Best Airline in the world, Air France rose to 7th place this year.

Skytrax Awards - Oscars of the airline industry

Skytrax is an international agency specializing in market research and customer satisfaction evaluation in the aviation sector. Since 1999, the organization has been awarding the World Airline Awards, known as the "Oscars of the airline industry," collecting opinions in the world's largest airline passenger satisfaction survey.

Uniqueness and prestige of La Première Class

For many years, Air France's First Class service has been appreciated and maintained at the forefront globally. The carrier continuously focuses on uniqueness and prestige, collaborating with world-renowned designers, top chefs, and luxury brands. True to its French heritage, Air France captures the hearts of La Première passengers, especially with the highest quality cuisine prepared by world-famous French gastronomy chefs. Air France also elevates standards in other travel classes: Business Class, Premium Economy, and Economy.

For the year 2024, the airline has announced the debut of an entirely new La Première cabin. The new, longest cabins in the market, in the form of entirely private apartments, will be available on more aircraft than currently.

Airport Oasis

Through the La Première service, Air France ensures its customers a tailored experience of exceptional and exclusive travel, with attention to every smallest detail, at all stages of the journey.

La Première Lounge with world-class cuisine

Travelers opting for First Class have access to the dedicated La Première lounge at Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris (terminal 2E). Designed by architect Didier Lefort, the exclusive 1000 m2 space is luxuriously furnished, offering travelers peace and tranquility away from the airport hustle and bustle. Special attention is also paid to culinary traditions, resulting in annual top rankings in airline surveys. The fact that the wine list and dishes in the lounge are curated by renowned chef Alain Ducasse and his team undoubtedly contributed to Air France's success in this year's Skytrax competition. In the exquisite menu, guests can taste the chef's specialty - the famous coquillettes with ham and black truffle, his rum, or Armagnac cake, as in Monte Carlo.

Sisley La Première Zone

In the heart of the lounge, guests have access to the Sisley treatment area, a French pioneer in phyto-cosmetology. The Sisley La Première Zone offers a range of flight-adapted, professional relaxation treatments, which can be enjoyed before or after a long flight.

Apartment cabin: space and privacy

First Class cabins, available on selected Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, accommodate only 4 apartment cabins. This ensures travelers the most precious commodities - space and intimacy. Curtains between the cabins allow for full or partial separation from the rest of the passengers. The main advantage is the seats, which in First Class adjust to every body type. At night, upon request, the crew transforms the seat into a completely flat bed exceeding two meters in length.

Masterful menu

Customers traveling in La Première are treated like in a luxury restaurant, following the French dining culture. Air France collaborates with talented, renowned chefs who create refined dishes based on seasonal products and the highest quality ingredients sourced locally, with French meats and fish exclusively from sustainable fisheries. Complementing culinary experiences are desserts and pastries, as well as a wide selection of wines and champagnes, selected by Paolo Basso, the world's best sommelier in 2013. Meals are served on tableware specially designed for Air France by eminent French designers. Also, discover the services offered on board the new Business Class.
