United Airlines unveils Summer 2026 routes to Europe and Asia

United Airlines announces new summer destinations from the U.S. to Europe and Asia
United Airlines has unveiled its Summer 2026 schedule, introducing new nonstop flights from the U.S. to Europe and Asia. The airline continues to lead transatlantic service, offering more cities than any other U.S. carrier. Four brand-new destinations from Newark/New York are included: Split (Croatia), Bari (Italy), Glasgow (Scotland), and Santiago de Compostela (Spain).
New nonstop routes from Newark/New York
Split, Croatia – United will operate the only nonstop flights from the U.S. to Split. Three weekly flights on a Boeing 767-300ER will allow travelers to explore historic sites such as Diocletian's Palace, the Cathedral of Saint Domnius, and enjoy the sun-soaked Riva promenade with its restaurants serving local specialties.
Bari, Italy – Four weekly flights on a Boeing 767-300ER will open the door to Puglia, with its hilltop towns, turquoise Adriatic beaches, historic Old Town, and iconic Trulli buildings. Bari also offers convenient ferry connections to Albania, Croatia, Greece, and beyond.
Glasgow, Scotland – Daily seasonal service on a Boeing 737-MAX8. Glasgow offers museums, historic architecture, parks, and live music. United remains the only U.S. carrier offering nonstop flights to Glasgow, while also serving Edinburgh year-round.
Santiago de Compostela, Spain – Three weekly flights on a Boeing 737-MAX8. This is the first regular nonstop service from the U.S. to the historic pilgrimage city and capital of Galicia. United already flies to five other Spanish cities.
Additional new routes and expanded service
Reykjavik, Iceland – Daily service from Washington Dulles on a Boeing 757-200, featuring lie-flat business class seats. Travelers can explore Iceland’s natural wonders, including the Blue Lagoon, Northern Lights, and black sand beaches.
Seoul, South Korea – Daily flights from Newark on a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, marking the first nonstop service from the U.S. East Coast to Seoul.
Tel Aviv, Israel – A third weekly flight from Newark on a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. Combined with existing flights from Chicago and Washington Dulles, United remains the largest U.S. carrier to Israel.
Return of record-breaking 2025 routes
United will continue serving nine destinations introduced during its record Summer 2025 expansion, including Ulaanbaatar, Nuuk, Palermo, Bilbao, Madeira Island, Faro, Dakar, Kaohsiung, and Puerto Escondido. These routes offer a diverse range of experiences – from beaches and mountain landscapes to historic cities and unique cultural destinations worldwide.
Transatlantic and global leadership
With its Summer 2026 schedule, United will operate over 850 daily flights to more than 150 international destinations, including 41 destinations served by no other U.S. carrier. The new routes combine comfort, convenience, and exceptional travel experiences, reinforcing United’s position as a leader in transatlantic travel and a global airline.
