LOT and SAS are expanding their codeshare capabilities

LOT i SAS rozszerzają swoją umowę code-share

LOT and SAS have announced the expansion of their code-share agreement, this time covering twenty-four routes operated by the Scandinavian carrier. This strategic move continues the recent reactivation of the agreement, which had been suspended for nearly four years and was last in effect in November 2019.

In the first phase of this collaboration, SAS will place its designations on LOT's flights, covering routes from Warsaw to cities such as Belgrade, Budapest, Katowice, Kosice, Krakow, Ljubljana, Lublin, Oslo, Podgorica, Poznan, Rzeszow, Sarajevo, Skopje, Sofia, Stockholm, Tirana, Vienna, Wroclaw, and Zagreb.

The second phase involves flights operated by SAS, where LOT Polish Airlines will place their flight numbers. The agreement includes routes such as Copenhagen - Birmingham, Copenhagen - Dublin, Copenhagen - Edinburgh, Copenhagen - Manchester, Copenhagen - Vágar, Oslo - Alta, Oslo - Bardufoss, Oslo - Bodø, Oslo - Harstad/Narvik-Evenes, Oslo - Haugesund, Oslo - Kristiansand, Oslo - Manchester, Oslo - Molde, Stockholm-Arlanda - Are/Ostersund, Stockholm-Arlanda - Edinburgh, Stockholm-Arlanda - Helsinki, Stockholm-Arlanda - Kiruna, Stockholm-Arlanda - Lulea, Stockholm-Arlanda - Skelleftea, Stockholm-Arlanda - Sundsvall, Stockholm-Arlanda - Turku, Stockholm-Arlanda - Umea, Stockholm-Arlanda - Vaasa, and Stockholm-Arlanda - Visby.

Interestingly, the decision to resume the code-share agreement was made despite the announcement of SAS's alliance switch from Star Alliance to SkyTeam, introducing some level of uncertainty into the long-term prospects of this collaboration.
