Until February 1, 2024, temporary border controls at the Polish-Slovak border will be extended, focusing solely on the entry direction into Poland. It is essential to remember that border crossing is only permitted at designated locations.

Individuals and vehicles crossing the Polish-Slovak border are subject to risk-based controls aimed at combating illegal migration from the Balkan route. Travelers must ensure they possess valid travel documents, such as a personal ID or passport.

The Polish-Slovak border can be crossed until February 1, 2024, at 17 road crossings, including Radoszyce, Barwinek, Muszynka, Piwniczna-Zdrój – Mnišek nad Popradom, Jurgów, Chyżne, Korbielów, Zwardoń - Skalité Platform, Leluchów - road crossing (for EU citizens, EFTA, Swiss Confederation, and their spouses and children), Konieczna - road crossing (for EU citizens, EFTA, Swiss Confederation, and their spouses and children), Niedzica, Łysa Polana, Chochołów, Winiarczykówka, Ujsoły, Bór, Jaworzynka – Čierne –Skalité.

Additionally, there are three railway crossings: Łupków – Palota, Muszyna – Plaveč, Zwardoń–Skalité, and two pedestrian crossings: Ożenna (for EU citizens, EFTA, Swiss Confederation) and Zwardoń - Mýto.
