Lufthansa Group launches new destinations for the autumn–winter 2026/27 season
Lufthansa Group has prepared an expanded network for the 2026/27 winter season, responding to growing demand for travel to both destinations around the world and popular European cities. New routes, increased frequencies and modern Lufthansa Allegris cabins will give passengers even more choice and comfort when travelling.
Lufthansa Allegris on new routes
One of the key highlights of the winter schedule is the continued rollout of the Lufthansa Allegris product. From October 25, 2026, the modern cabins will be introduced on additional long-haul routes. One of the new routes will be a direct connection from Frankfurt to Kuala Lumpur.
Lufthansa Allegris will also be introduced on additional routes from Munich, including Singapore, Washington and Cape Town. Passengers can look forward to a redesigned cabin, enhanced onboard service and new seating options across all travel classes.
The German carrier will also increase frequencies on selected popular long-haul routes. More flights will be available to destinations including Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Bogotá, Lagos and Mexico City.
SWISS, ITA Airways and Brussels Airlines expand their networks
The changes also extend to other airlines within the Lufthansa Group.
SWISS will expand its network with Bengaluru in India, while the SWISS Senses travel experience will also be available on routes to Johannesburg and Shanghai.
ITA Airways will make its debut in the Caribbean with flights to Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic. Meanwhile, Brussels Airlines will expand its network with flights to Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, providing another option for travellers heading to Africa.
At the same time, Lufthansa Group airlines will increase frequencies on popular routes, giving passengers greater flexibility when planning their journeys – particularly important for business travellers.
Discover Northern Europe in winter with Eurowings and Discover Airlines
The winter season is also a particularly popular time to travel to Scandinavia. Eurowings is expanding its offering with additional European routes in response to growing demand for winter destinations.
New options will include flights from Berlin to Kuusamo in Finnish Lapland. The destination is an attractive choice for travellers looking for snowy landscapes, outdoor activities and the unique atmosphere of the far north.
Discover Airlines is also expanding its network in Scandinavia. The airline will launch flights to Ivalo in Finland, as well as two new destinations in Morocco.
From late October, Discover Airlines will connect Frankfurt with Agadir, a coastal city on Morocco’s Atlantic coast. Another new route will connect Munich with Fès – the historic royal city in northeastern Morocco. It will be the only direct connection between the two cities.
More Scandinavia with Edelweiss
Responding to growing demand for travel to Scandinavia, Edelweiss will also increase its services to Finland and Norway.
The airline will also extend its seasonal service to Luleå in Swedish Lapland. The destination was added to the network last year and has attracted strong interest from travellers.
Lufthansa Group offers more choice
The Lufthansa Group winter schedule for 2026/27 combines the expansion of long-haul routes, new European destinations and increased frequencies on the most popular services. Passengers will have more opportunities to travel to major cities across Asia, the Americas and Africa, as well as to winter destinations in Europe.
With new routes and additional flights, the autumn–winter 2026/27 season marks another step in the development of the Lufthansa Group network, offering travellers an even wider choice of destinations and greater flexibility when planning their journeys.
