Wizz Air to increase Modlin–Chisinau flights

Wizz Air will increase the frequency of flights from Warsaw Modlin to Chisinau from three to four a week from October 2026. Once the winter schedule starts, the frequency is due to increase to five weekly flights. The changes are visible in the airline’s booking system.

Fourth weekly flight on Sundays

Wizz Air currently operates the Modlin–Chisinau route on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. A Sunday service is due to be added at the end of September. After the first change, the route will operate on four days each week.

The Modlin–Chisinau service launched on 2 December 2025. Warsaw Modlin Airport listed Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday as the operating days when the route opened. The current pattern therefore matches the schedule used at launch. The change concerns frequency on an existing route rather than the opening of a new service.

Five weekly flights in winter

Wizz Air plans another frequency increase at the start of the winter schedule. Friday is due to be added alongside Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. The direct route will then operate on five days each week, with no flights on Mondays or Wednesdays.

The change will take place in two stages. Frequency will first rise from three to four weekly flights, then from four to five. Sunday will be the only new operating day in the first stage.

More date combinations for passengers

For leisure passengers, the main practical change is a wider choice of dates for nonstop outbound and return travel. Adding Sunday and later Friday increases the number of possible date combinations without a connection.
