85% of surveyed Polish hotels exceeded 50% occupancy in July 2026

In July 2026, 85% of surveyed hotels in Poland recorded occupancy above 50%, while 51% exceeded 70%. A survey by IGHP, Poland’s hotel industry chamber, found that 58% improved year on year. Leisure hotels posted higher occupancy, but business hotels were more likely to improve compared with July 2025.

Leisure hotels posted higher occupancy

Among leisure hotels, 92% recorded occupancy above 50%, and 69% exceeded 70%. The corresponding shares for business hotels were 82% and 36%. IGHP linked the gap to the seasonal pattern of the first month of the summer holiday season.

Business hotels improved more often

Across the full sample, 58% increased occupancy from July 2025. The share rose to 63% among business hotels. Business properties were more likely to improve year on year, even though fewer crossed the 50% and 70% occupancy thresholds.

Rates rose at 62% of hotels

In July 2026, 62% of respondents reported higher average rates than in July 2025. Rates were unchanged at 23%, while 15% reported a decline of up to 10%.

For corporate hotel buyers, IGHP did not split the rate data by city or rate category. The published results also do not show whether the increases applied to public rates, corporate rates or both. The figures cannot replace a company’s own hotel programme data or local rate comparisons.

August bookings stronger at leisure hotels

Based on bookings already accepted, 53% of hotels expected August 2026 occupancy above 50%. Among business hotels, 27% had at least half their rooms booked, compared with 81% of leisure properties. These figures were a booking snapshot at the time of the survey, not the final August result.

Survey covered 143 hotels

IGHP conducted the survey from 3–13 August 2026 among 143 hotels. The results describe the respondent group, not the entire Polish hotel market. The sample included business, leisure and mixed-profile hotels, with micro, small and medium-sized companies in the majority. The release did not provide weights for each segment or city-level results.
