LOT Polish Airlines Strengthens Connections to Asia with Direct Flights from Warsaw to Hanoi
LOT Polish Airlines has opened ticket sales for direct flights from Warsaw to Hanoi. The inaugural flight to the capital of Vietnam will take place on 31 March 2027. The route will operate year-round, three times a week, providing direct access to one of the fastest-growing markets in Asia.
Three Weekly Flights from Warsaw
LOT Polish Airlines flights will depart from Warsaw Chopin Airport on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 3:15 p.m. Return flights from Hanoi are scheduled for Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 8:35 a.m. local time.
The flight from Warsaw to Hanoi will take approximately 10 hours and 25 minutes, while the return journey will take around 11 hours and 20 minutes. The route will be operated by Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft, providing comfort on the long-haul journey between Europe and Asia.
Hanoi – LOT's Fifth Destination in Asia
Hanoi will become the fifth Asian city in LOT Polish Airlines' long-haul network, complementing its existing destinations of Tokyo, Seoul, New Delhi and Bangkok. The expansion of direct connections further strengthens Warsaw's role as a convenient hub for travel between Central and Eastern Europe and Asia.
The new route is important not only for tourism. Vietnam is one of the fastest-growing markets in Asia, while economic and trade relations between Vietnam and Poland continue to grow in importance. The direct connection could facilitate business travel, meetings with business partners and the development of trade relations between companies.
Vietnam – A Growing Market for Business
For years, Vietnam has been strengthening its position as one of the key economic centres in Southeast Asia. Hanoi, as the country's capital and an important administrative, political and economic centre, is a natural destination for business travel. A direct connection from Warsaw means no need to change planes, resulting in a shorter and more predictable journey.
Three weekly flights also offer greater flexibility when planning business trips, making it easier to align travel dates with meeting schedules. The year-round service, meanwhile, allows travellers to use the route regardless of the season.
Hanoi as a Gateway to Northern Vietnam
The new route can also serve as a starting point for further travel across Vietnam. From Hanoi, travellers can easily reach destinations including Sapa, one of northern Vietnam's key tourist regions, Ninh Binh and the famous Ha Long Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The expansion of LOT's network in Asia is part of the airline's strategy to strengthen its long-haul offering and develop its Warsaw hub as a gateway connecting Central and Eastern Europe with some of the world's most promising destinations.
