FOX: A New Travel Experience in Lufthansa Economy Class

FOX (Future Onboard Experience) is Lufthansa’s new onboard service concept, covering all travel classes on long-haul flights. Its aim is to provide passengers with greater comfort, more choice and a more personalised travel experience.

The new standard is being gradually introduced on all Lufthansa intercontinental flights – both on aircraft equipped with the new Allegris cabin and on other long-haul aircraft. FOX has been available in Economy Class since 6 May 2026.

Even more comfort, greater choice and attention to detail – Lufthansa is introducing new elements to its Economy Class service on long-haul flights as part of the FOX programme.

One of the key improvements is greater comfort when resting. Passengers on long-haul flights now receive amenity kits with an eye mask and earplugs, helping create better conditions for sleep and relaxation during the journey.

The culinary offering has also been enhanced. On flights lasting more than ten hours, passengers can choose from three hot main courses, providing greater freedom of choice. Printed menus provide information about the dishes served, making it easier to choose and adding another element to the enhanced onboard experience.

Greater attention has also been given to the presentation of meals. New tableware and cutlery give the service a more modern look, while additional touches – such as snacks available during the flight and a farewell chocolate – create enjoyable moments throughout the journey.

Passengers can also expect more frequent beverage service, allowing the cabin crew to be more present and provide greater attention to passengers throughout the flight.

FOX brings a new experience to Economy Class – with greater comfort, more choice and greater attention to every detail of the journey.
