Wizz Air plans three Egypt routes from Modlin

Wizz Air plans to launch three regular routes from Warsaw/Modlin Airport to Red Sea resorts from 25 October 2026. According to information provided by the airport, the new destinations are Hurghada, Marsa Alam and Sharm el Sheikh. The notice did not give flight times, frequencies or fares.

Three launch dates in October

The new routes are due to start on consecutive days. The first service, to Hurghada, is planned from 25 October 2026.

Wizz Air is then expected to launch flights from Modlin to Marsa Alam on 26 October. The third route, to Sharm el Sheikh, is scheduled to start on 27 October 2026.

All three destination airports serve leisure traffic to resorts on the Red Sea. The routes therefore have a clear holiday profile, especially for autumn and winter travel.

Timetable details are still missing

The airport’s notice does not yet include days of operation, departure and arrival times or the planned length of the season. It also does not give ticket prices.

For passengers planning trips, the full timetable will matter. It will show whether the new flights fit week-long holidays, shorter stays or separately booked flight-and-hotel trips.

Modlin follows Wizz Air’s return

The Egypt routes would build on Wizz Air’s broader return to Modlin. In July 2025, the carrier announced 11 routes from the airport and two Airbus A321neo aircraft based there from December 2025.

The planned Egypt services would add longer leisure sectors to that network. For Modlin, they would mean more destinations beyond the short-haul European network with which the airport has most often been associated.
